Families are a child’s
first and best teacher.
We’re here to support you.

ReadyRosie

ReadyRosie is an interactive family engagement resource offering weekly tips, activities, and resources to families with young children. ReadyRosie inspires unique ways to learn and engage with your child at home or on the go - built into your everyday life with no special skills or supplies needed!

ReadyRosie is managed in partnership between ReadyKids! and the Early Learning Coalition of Escambia County.

Born Learning Trails

The Born Learning Trail, a United Way initiative, is a series of 10 interactive signs that offer fun, active learning activities for young children and their families. It helps parents, caregivers and communities create quality engagement opportunities when out on a stroll or visiting a local playground.

ReadyKids! is proud to offer four Born Learning Trails in Escambia County. We invite you to explore them all and have fun learning together!

Summer Program

Our team at ReadyKids! knows that learning happens every day and should continue when students are out of school for the summer. That’s why we continue to support families on their children’s educational journeys throughout the summer months.

In addition to sending “Ready Bags” home with students in our ReadingPals programs over the summer to boost their readiness for back-to-school time, we are proud to offer a summer program for families AND their incoming kindergartners every June.

Kindergarten, Here We Come! is designed to help parents and caregivers understand how they can create learning opportunities at home that support school readiness while children get to practice kindergarten skills in a school district classroom.

Family Engagement

Families are a child’s first, best, and most important teacher, so throughout the year we connect with families to support their efforts at home. This includes providing quality books to build home libraries, offering reading discussion prompts, partnering with schools and teachers, and participating in family nights and other community events for families.
