To be eligible for Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK), a child must reside in Florida while attending a VPK program and be 4 years of age, but not 5 years of age or older, by September 1 of the program year. Open enrollment begins on January 1 each year. Parents must submit an application and child’s proof of age and Florida residency.
